Résumé : |
Covid 19 is a contagious virus; its widespread around the globe affected all the sectors
of life economically, socially, and politically. Education is one of these sectors. In this
context, all governments of the world decided to suspend face-to-face education and
resort to digital platforms to complete their studies remotely via distance education. This
study aims to shed light to the use of distance learning as an only solution in the period
of lockdown and to see the effectiveness, rate of acceptance, success, and the impact of
this technology on students of frère Mentouri, Constantine 1. In order to test our
hypothesis, a questionnaire was given to 36 Master two students of English. The main
objective of this questionnaire is to collect data based on the students’ answers and to
see their point of view toward distance learning. The sample was taken randomly second
year master English students. The analysis of the results revealed that students were not
satisfied with the new method of teaching. This indicates that students faced great
challenges in this period to complete the academic year. Thus, our hypothesis was
confirmed and we conclude that distance learning has caused a significant drop in
students’ level. |
