We hypothesized that our students master the comprehension of spoken American and British English. In the goal to test the validity of the hypothesis, we selected 19 first year LMD students randomly from the Department of English at the University Mentouri, Constantine. For this research, we have used 2 tests to gather data. Results have proved that a higher number of students master better the comprehension of spoken American English rather than the spoken British English probably due to its broadcasting news and movies influence on their social life.
