Résumé :	This study aims at investigating language transfer in translation texts from Arabic into English of 2nd year applied languages students at Mentouri University Constantine. The research data were gathered through a test which was submitted in order to check the hypothesis which says that: first language transfer is not the main reason behind the errors in the translation from Arabic into English, but most of errors are developmental ones. After the analysis of the students’ errors, the results have confirmed the hypothesis, since the majority of errors are related to the structure of the second language itself. The study was concluded with some recommendations for both teachers and learners to reduce the degree of errors and to handle such problems in translation. There are also some suggestions, as carrying out researches about the interference of Arabic into English while translation.
