Résumé :	This research examines the relation between the United Kingdom and the European Union which was called, at the beginning, the Economic European Community, throughout its years of membership from 1979 to 2015 that has ended with a decision of an exit. Also as an eminent debatable issue in both the European and the British political agendas. Since the first years of membership, Britain had encountered lot of problems in dealing with the European affairs, where it could not be able to accept the policies that were continently introduced. This otherness relationship has greatly helped in bringing back the Anglo- European relations to the forefront of world politics nowadays. Although, there were various forms of governments with dissimilar goals and attitudes, the EU could remain the only agreed issue among all the British governments of this era. Consequently, the United Kingdom has decided to put an end to its controversial relation with Europe; to withdraw or the so-called The Brexit.
