Résumé :	The idea that reading aloud should take place in the classroom becomes more widespread; researchers claim that through reading aloud, students comprehend much better. In other words, reading aloud leads to a significantly higher level of comprehension than silent reading. The present work aims at showing that reading aloud can be a best pedagogical strategy to develop not only the students’ vocabulary and reading comprehension but also many other reading skills. In this study, two means of research are administered to first year LMD students at Mentouri University- Constantine to get information about the impact of reading aloud on the students’ comprehension- a test and a questionnaire. The analyses of the reading test and the students’ questionnaire showed that reading aloud as an important pedagogical strategy enhances the students’ comprehension.
