Résumé :	The Falkland Islands are considered as British territory since 1833. But, Argentina has contested sovereignty title over the Falkland Islands for the last two centuries. This research uses an economic case study approach to examine the economic interests behind the Anglo- Argentine conflict over the Falkland Islands. It aims at providing the necessary information to understand the real reason behind the lasting claims for sovereignty. This work highlights the economic significance of the Islands, which led the United Kingdom to decide not to abandon them. Hence, evidences will be given to unveil the hidden goal of both disputants to gain an absolute control over the Falklands and its natural resources.
