Résumé :	This research is an attempt to investigate the difficulties faced by Master students of computer science at the University of Constantine 2 in translating acronyms from English into Arabic. In order to check the method used by students in translating acronyms the hypothesis made is that if students understand the meaning of acronyms and learn how to use them, it will enhance their ability to create them in Arabic and it will improve their translation quality. The data are gathered through a questionnaire and a test given to the students. Then, a second test is administered after a lecture session about acronyms. The results after this test show that students have progressed and improved their translation of the equivalent computer science acronyms in Arabic.
