Résumé :	The present dissertation is intended to investigate the role of Information and Communication Technologies in enhancing learners’ second language vocabulary acquisition. We aim at exploring the different employments of these technologies in language teaching / learning in general and in acquiring vocabulary items in particular. It is by the means of two questionnaires administered to both teachers and third-year students at the Department of Letters and English at Mentouri Brothers University, Constantine that we investigate our hypothesis which looks into students’ vocabulary development through the use of ICT. The obtained results show that ICT is helpful and an effective means in helping foreign language learners acquire new vocabulary items and expand their vocabulary background. Therefore, it is recommended to adapt these technologies at the university setting and to guide teachers and students to their use
