Résumé :	Women's enfranchisement was one of the important movements that happened in the British History. The aim of this study is to examine the public reception of the violence of the suffragettes in the women's suffrage. This research tests whether the use of the violent actions of the suffragettes was a negative or a positive point in the women's suffrage. The research is descriptive; it analyses the reception of the suffragettes' violence by the suffragettes and the suffragists, through two violent episodes in the struggle. Data for this research was gathered from both primary and secondary sources. The research came to the conclusion that the use of violence of the suffragettes in the women's suffrage was a helpful tool.
