Résumé :	Since 1948 Israel has been enjoying a huge amount of benefits from the bilateral relationship with the United States of America. Many factors have been put forward by scholars to explain the special relationship between U.S. and Israel such as the strategic importance of Israel and common national interests. Almost all U.S. presidents have supported Israel by providing military and financial aid, favoring Israel in the peak negotiations and supporting it in international organizations. Various factors particularly the Israeli Lobby in the United States have been playing a very important role in preserving the special relationship for decades. The AIPAC is the most powerful ethnic interest Lobby in the United States. It is often cited commanding significant influence on the Congress and the White House in the formulation of U.S. foreign policy towards the Middle East. Thus, this thesis analyses the influence of the Jewish Lobby on the U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. The focus is put on the areas of interest of the Lobby and the methods it uses for promoting its influence. The main objective of this thesis is identifying the impact of the Jewish Lobby upon George W. Bush administration especially during the war on Iraq in 2003.
