Résumé : |
Throughout my research paper, I will identify the causes behind the rise of the
industrial revolution in the European countries and the world in general and the United States
of America in particular, between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. I will try to discuss
both the negative and the positive impact of the industrial revolution in America 1860-1914
on American society and especially children, as they were utilized as a source of employment
in many fields, mainly in cotton mills and coal mines. America's entry into a new era relied
heavily on the access to the world of industry that sapped a lot of the efforts of the working
class, who suffered under the mercy of the bourgeois class for many years. One of the most
important phenomena that prevailed at that time was "child labor". Factory owners, mine and
land owners have exploited childhood innocence and their need to earn money to support
their destitute families and employ them in various works that goes over their ages and
physical energies in the worst conditions. and gave them symbolic wages in return. A number
of social reformers and politicians resorted to the formation of organizations to lift the
suffering of the children and defend their rights until today to ensure them a promising future |
