Résumé :	This thesis’ main goal deals with the effective role of Kennedy in resolving the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, during the Cold War which is counted as one of the most dangerous and serious events over history. The world was on the verge of a nuclear war, which was prevented thanks’ to the decisions made by J.F. Kennedy and the leaders during that period. The present research paper seeks to show the importance of the decisions made by President Kennedy and focusing on the changes that occurred in the American foreign policy by describing the changing nature of the America-Cuban relations before and after the cold war. It then, attempts to display the reasons behind this crisis along with analyzing and discussing the motives and goals of the concerned countries; the United States, Cuba and the Soviet Union.
