Résumé : |
This work examines the effect of teachers’/learners’ interaction on learners’ speaking fluency be they of the same gender or different.
It attempts to assess teacher’s awareness of the way to interact with their learners to promote their fluency in speaking. Thus, we hypothesise that if teachers interacted with learners of the same gender as theirs, the student’s speaking fluency would be affected. To test this hypothesis, two questionnaires have been used, the first one is concerned with secondary school learners and the second one targets their teachers. These questionnaires try to shed light on some concepts related to our problem statement, such as speaking and teachers’ /learners’ interaction.
The results obtained revealed that despite the differences between the two genders in language classroom, gender does not really affect second language learners’ speaking fluency. |
