Résumé :	The research is an examination of American think tank. The latter covers all aspects of public policy. It is a seperate organization which depends on different fund sources to build its budget, the idea leaders formed their places in American government. These leaders open nongovernmental space in which they can flourish. The work begins with a comprehensive overview about think tank. It takes a close look at their historical origins and developments, as well as their types and characteristics. It highlights the different political and philosophiacal orientation of each organization. The work also shows the financial resources of think tanks to know the fund source of each one in general, likewise it treats the fund management in which it highlights how think tanks leaders manage their profits and capitals. Furthermore, it portrays the importance of the apportunity funds that think tank faced. The research, in addition, represents a successful funding model of the research organization for the sake of showing an effective sample of an ideal think tank. It points out to the relationship between think tanks and the US government. Then, it exposes think tank governance ; as a political administration structure. The present study explores also the role of think tanks in shaping American public policy to indicate the huge and the unique capacities they dedicate. The work examines, the impact of think tanks on American public policy. This dessertation concludes that think tanks affect American public policy.
