Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Writing is a skill that entails a lot of efforts to be achieved as it is an essential skill to master a
foreign language. However, teaching students how to work cooperatively based on
cooperative learning techniques to develop the writing skill is a specific factor that was
supported by researchers because of its motivational effects on improving student’s paragraph
writing performance. Thus, we hypothesize that if teachers provide their students with
cooperative learning strategies inside the classroom, this will enhance their writing skills. The
research work is constituted of two chapters, a theoretical chapter which is made up of three
sections, the first one is concerned with the writing skill, the second one is about paragraph
writing and the third section is dealing with cooperative learning. The second chapter is
mainly based on the analysis of two questionnaires to collect data. A student’s questionnaire
was designed for 26 students from second year classes at the department of English language
and a teacher’s questionnaire which was addressed to 6 teachers of English language at
university of brothers Mentouri in Constantine. The results of our data were analyzed,
interpreted and showed that both students and teachers are aware of the importance of using
cooperative learning as a motivational medium to develop the writing skill and it has a
positive impact on the process of learning. As a result, the data collected confirm and prove
our hypothesis of using cooperative learning as an effective strategy to improve the writing
skill.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13303 Cooperative Learning as a Motivational Aspect in Enhancing Student’s Paragraph Writing Performance A case study of second year students at brothers Mentouri University [texte imprimé] / Chourouk Frih, Auteur ; Habiba Toualbia, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 69 f. ; 30cm.

terms from English into Arabic, and see how they deal with these difficulties. Thus, the study
aims at investigating student’s awareness about technical and scientific terms; it examines. If
first year master students read scientific books and know about the source culture, they are
going to be able to translate medical terms. The sample of our research was 30 first year
master students of English, and they were provided by a series of questions and a translation
test to answer. The results obtained in the questionnaire shows the interest of students to know
more about medical terms; however, students claim that translating medical terms is a hard
task; they justified this because of the lack of practice. Besides, the result obtained in the test
is a bit acceptable, but, in all cases the majority of students did not look for the equivalence of
words and they have a poor background about the field of medicine. This result validates our
hypothesis. To sum up, students need to read more about the field of medicine and they
should have this kind of practice in order to translate medical terms.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9745 Difficulties of translating medical terms from english into arabic and the importance of extensive reading in fixing them : The case study of first year master students of english at mentouri brothers.university- constantine [texte imprimé] / Oussama Kermiche, Auteur ; Habiba Toualbia, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 79 f. ; 30 cm.

Langues : Français (fre) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : The purpose of the present study is to investigate the effectiveness of extensive reading skill
on first year English students’ grammar performance in terms of the appropriate use of the
irregular verbs when they write. The students of English as a foreign language are facing a
variety of grammar problems that make their writing not proficient. One major problem is the
inappropriate use of irregular verbs. Thus, we hypothesize that ‘‘if the English first year
students as a foreign language really follow up the extensive reading, they will gain academic
and educational benefits besides they will improve their grammar performance in terms of the
correct use of the irregular verbs within written language. To achieve such an aim, we have
relied on the questionnaire; the data we gathered through a series of questionnaire
administered to a sample of 70 students and delivered to 10 grammar teachers at the
department of English at the University of Constantine. The results obtained from the current
study could confirm our hypothesis which stated that students would reduce the misuse of the
irregular verbs when they write if they read extensively.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=12249 Improving Grammar Performance In Terms Of The Correct Use Of The Irregular Verbs Within Written Language Through Extensive Reading [texte imprimé] / Fatima Zohra Aouati, Auteur ; Ikram Boulebssel, Auteur ; Habiba Toualbia, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2016 . - 94 f. ; 30cm.

Format : 30cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Lexical Collocations Verb+Noun Combination. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Collocations are one of the linguistic phenomena prevalent in all human languages, and one of
the crucial aspects of the language, which are arbitrary and unpredictable words combination.
Collocations are widely deemed as a source of confusion for students of English as a foreign
language. On the light of this fact, this study seeks to investigate the collocational knowledge
among first year undergraduate students of English at University Des Frères Mentouri,
Constantine1, uncover the factors which affect learners‟ use of verb+noun collocations, and
raise teachers‟ and learners‟ awareness of the importance of teaching and learning
collocations. Accordingly, we hypothesized that insufficient knowledge of collocations may
impede first year students‟ production of verb+noun lexical collocations which results in
making collocational errors. The study was conducted on designing online questionnaires and
submitting them to the sample of nineteen undergraduate students of first year, and to seven
teachers of different modules from the department of letters and English language. Besides,
the descriptive method was adopted to analyze the research results. The findings of the
questionnaires confirmed the research hypothesis, and revealed that insufficient knowledge of
collocations impedes first year students‟ production of verb+noun lexical collocations in
addition to the influence of the first/second languages and the shortage of language
vocabulary, which in turn results in making collocational errors. Therefore, language
instructors should attach great importance to teaching collocationsDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13801 Investigating Students’ Knowledge of Lexical Collocations Verb+Noun Combination A Case Study of Undergraduate First Year Students of English at University Des Frères Mentouri, Constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Halima Doukali, Auteur ; Habiba Toualbia, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 81 f. ; 30cm.

speaking in class, finding out the causes of this problem, and suggesting solutions to
overcome it. To reach this aim, we hypothesize that the speaking difficulties that second
year students of English face in class are due to the problem of the lack of self-confidence.
In order to examine the validation of the hypothesis, we used two questionnaires as a tool
of research. The first questionnaire was addressed to a sample of (40) second year students
of English, at the department of English, University of Constantine, while the other was
addressed to a sample of (10) teachers of different ‘modules’. From the analysis of the two
questionnaires, the hypothesis asserted that the speaking difficulties that second year
students of English face are due to the lack of self-confidence. Hence, the findings revealed
that second year students of English need help from their teachers to overcome the problem
of the lack of self-confidence.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10311 Investigating the impact of the lack of self-confidence on speaking in class : The case of 2nd year students of english at the university of constantine [texte imprimé] / Djihane Millat, Auteur ; Habiba Toualbia, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 65 f. ; 30 cm.
