Titre : Exploring the feminity’s vulnerability in yousafzai’si am malala, the girl who stood up for education : a feminist case study Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Nouzha Slimani, Auteur ; Mohamed Ali yachir, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2018 Importance : 75 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : UNE COPIE ELECTRONIQUE PDF DISPONIBLE AU BUC Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Hegemonic Masculinity, Feminism, Patriarchal norms, Taliban Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Malala, the girl Who Stood up for Education and was shot by the Taliban, narrates her
glorious story to reveal various aspects of the pakistani life. The historical events that have
taken place in Pakistan, from independence, tell the explicit vision of how its future is going
to be percieved. Indeed, Malala covers intentionally all elements to show the real purpose of
understanding her work, before and during the Taliban period. This research explores
important issues of how women’s rights are deeply buried without excavations, the patriarchal
norms which obliterate women’s identity in the society, and feminism that calls for gender
equality. In Pakistan, women contribute and share nothing with their partner, men. they are
oppressed and restricted to societal traditions, they do not have the right to education, and
their fate is determined by their male relatives. Women are used and abused, accordingly, to
satisfy men’s world. The patriarchal norms are set of rules which fight for maintaining male
dominance, and women, through hegemonic masculinity, experience various types of
violence. The cultural practices order women’s seclusion from men’s world, and embrace
women’s subordination. Education is the salvation which opens freedom to women to claim
for their rights. Malala, undoubtedly, fastens on feminism to advocate for education and
equality. She inscribes her memoir to raise her voice for all who are silenced. To conclude,
Malala stands for girls’ rights to education and gender equality, and she stands against
hegemonic masculinity and the patriarchal cultural practicesDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9503 Exploring the feminity’s vulnerability in yousafzai’si am malala, the girl who stood up for education : a feminist case study [texte imprimé] / Nouzha Slimani, Auteur ; Mohamed Ali yachir, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 75 f. ; 30 cm.

Titre : Identity Crisis in Bharati Mukherjee’s Novel Jasmine Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Imene Harkat, Auteur ; Mohamed Ali yachir, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2020 Importance : 110 f. Format : 30cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Bharati Mukherjee Jasmine immigration American dream Identity crisis Postcolonialism psychoanalysis third world Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : During the last decades, the phenomenon of immigration has increased enormously, it becomes an
expression of the human aspirations for dignity, safety and a better life, especially for third world
societies. It turned out to be a part of the social fabric and an enduring feature of our contemporary
world. Yet, crossing borders and seas involves dire risks, with many immigrants not able to settle
safely in the host country. Literature has long sought to reflect the experience of the immigrants and
make their voices heard. Migrant writers listened to their calls for it is their duty to offer a voice to
the voiceless, through their literary contributions, they represent a living embodiment of the
immigrant’s journey. Indian American writer Bharati Mukherjee is one of them, through her literary
productions, she represents the contemporary voice of the new immigrants, mainly those who come
from undeveloped countries. Therefore, and through Bharati Mukherjee’s novel Jasmine, this study
investigates the hardships of third world new immigrants within the context of the American dream
and engages with the impact of immigration on their psyche and identity. Jasmine offers a passage to
the life of the new immigrant in the new world. Written from first person point of view, the novel
provides the reader a deeper insight into the protagonist’s stream of consciousness. It presents a vivid
image about the sufferings of third world people both in their birthplaces as well as in the adopted
land after migration. Using psychoanalytic and post-colonial approaches, this paper argues that the
protagonist, Jasmine, could not attain a new identity and be American after migrating to America,
thus, the failure of immigration to serve her quest for identity. It is also argued that the protagonist
fails at fulfilling the American dream in America.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13610 Identity Crisis in Bharati Mukherjee’s Novel Jasmine [texte imprimé] / Imene Harkat, Auteur ; Mohamed Ali yachir, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 110 f. ; 30cm.

Titre : Identity, gender and language crisis in postcolonial literature : A case study tsitsi dangarembga nervous conditions Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Kamar Rouibah, Auteur ; Mohamed Ali yachir, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2017 Importance : 88 f. Otherness, Resistance, Gender, Gender - Discrimination, Patriarchal and Matriarchal SystemIndex. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Tsitsi Dangarembga has famously begin her literary career by publishing her work
Nervous Conditions in 1988, which was written from a traditional female perspective in
the Postcolonial era. This period was considered as the heart of the matter throughout
this dissertation and an important phase not only for African's history as well to the
other third world societies. Dangarembga reported the first serious discussions of the
different struggles and issues that emerged during the 1960s-1980s, to offer some visual
representations of the hard conditions within her society, part of it was related with the
image of the colonial presence in the land, whereas the other part concerned with the
construction of Zimbabweans themselves. Yet, the novel in this dissertation addresses
questions on the men and women's role which was based on traditional beliefs, and
raises many critical hypothesizes that can be shown through the different parts of the
work. The purpose of this dissertation is to see how culture contributes in the
construction of the identity of people, furthermore representing the language as a part of
the national culture, and the links that relate them with their societies. This may answer
the question on how the experience of colonialism play an important role in shaping the
identity and language of the colonized. On one hand this dissertation joins a vibrant
conversation on the identity and language of the natives and its relation with the
colonial culture, thus adopting the idea of hybridization. It explores also how the
identity was significantly separated in many parts from the old ones by examining the
different characters from the novel. On the other hand discusses a fundamental theme
which is gender discrimination, the female experience with the male rule as a part of the
patriarchal system. In order to answer these questions we used visual images of different
periods of time, furthermore examining a variety of academic literary works and critics
that share the same concern and which attempt to be at the same wave. At the very end
of the dissertation we tend to discuss how language and identity can work as a key
answer and a solution for the struggles of African people, moreover can promote to
unite them.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=11135 Identity, gender and language crisis in postcolonial literature : A case study tsitsi dangarembga nervous conditions [texte imprimé] / Kamar Rouibah, Auteur ; Mohamed Ali yachir, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 88 f. ; 30 cm.

Home and the World by Rabindranath Tagore. It focuses on the issues of nationhood and
Nationalism in India during the first years of the twentieth century. This study investigates
two main problems : the kind of nation that Tagore wanted his home India to be, and how the
nationalist spirit is harmful to the nation. The concept of the “nation ” has been much
discussed by scholars, but the novel we intend to study covers this issue in a way that is not
conventional in literary fiction. It also presents nationalism to the reader through different
perspectives giving him the floor to decide of the true nature of the movement. The aim of the
present research work is to demonstrate that Rabindranath Tagore had offered his country and
the world a new model of nation that evades fatal fanatism and brings harmony and freedom
to its people.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6279 Nation and nationalism in rabindranath tagore’s the home and the world [texte imprimé] / Houda Sabouni, Auteur ; Mohamed Ali yachir, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2015 . - 47 f. ; 30 cm.
