Résumé : |
The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of obesity in
atherosclerosis in patients Constantine and its impact on the development of atherosclerosis
and cardiovascular risk factors.
The results of our study show that the distribution of cardiovascular diseases is
significantly different in our population distribution. Coronary syndrome is the most common,
34% of the population who are overweight whose 20% is affected by atherosclerosis, which
represent 59% of total diseases.
These results highlight the influence of obesity on the development of atherosclerosis
via certain risk factors, including known, we took into consideration the best known and most
quantifiable ie: smoking, diet, hypertension, the diabetes.
A causal relationship cannot be inferred only from this epidemiological association
because some patients with the disease have no overweight. But this association still provides
a causal link. Thus it is established in terms of probability that the occurrence of
atherosclerosis is strongly influenced by the presence of these risk factors. |
