It mainly analyses the common theme of „anger‟, its causes, forms and results, found in both works. In the light of Psychoanalytic and Historical theories, this comparison aims at demonstrating how the protagonists‟ „anger‟ is mainly caused by frustration, which arises from unfulfilled expectations in a hopeless society. It also investigates the different forms in which the protagonists express their anger.
