This study aims at exploring the attitudes of the students and the teachers towards CL as a strategy
in writing skills, and it aims also to show if the students have the ability of writing and how they
improve it by using this strategy. The main problem underlying this work is that the priority of
improving the students’ writing and the method followed by teachers to develop the students’
capacities of learning written expression. To carry out this research and confirm this hypothesis, We
prepare two questionnaires, one of them deals with group of second year students of the Department
of English. The second one deals with some teacher of English language of the same Department at
Constantine University. Those two questionnaires aim to know the importance and the role of
cooperative learning as an effective strategy for both, students and teachers. In addition we need to
know how it helps students to ameliorate and develop their level of writing skills in the classroom.
The data collected results of this study shows that CL is a very effective method to develop the
students’ writing skill which is the most important skill that helps learners write effectively. Finally,
this study aims at suggesting this technique that may help teachers to teach writing skill. |
