It takes the Clinton’s intervention in Ireland as a case study to illustrate the strategies that the US used to spread democracy and stability through economic aids and peaceful interventionism. The first chapter deals with the Cold War, the fall of the USSR which led to the complexity of the Post-Cold War world. The second shows how President Clinton maintained the United States as world leader, finally the third chapter tackles President Clinton’s engagement in the Irish peace process and the reasons that led him to.
