Résumé : |
This study aims at examining the decline of the Welfare State in Britain which was introduced after the Second World War by the Labour Party. Many people have the perception that the British Welfare State did much good to the British society. In fact, they ignore the fact that the Welfare State led to the decline of post-war Britain. This study is divided into three chapters. The first chapter focuses on the historical background in which these social reforms were introduced. The following chapter analyzes the decline of the Welfare reforms which were expected to improve the British society in post-war years, and explains the impact of the Welfare system on Britain socially and economically. The last chapter shows the Thatcher‟s revolution against the Welfare reforms, and the end of post-war consensus. |

Studies US Motivation Iraq 2003 |
Index. décimale : |

Résumé : |
This dissertation looks into US foreign policy and its new strategies after the
collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990, and the subsequent emergence of the US as the
sole superpower. Through my work process I try to present the new strategic system
that came up as a result of the horrible 9/11 attacks, focussing on how these
strategies affected the Bush administration's foreign policy. The Iraq war was taken
as a study case to illustrate America's way of spreading democracy and human rights
through military involvement. The war on Iraq began in March 2003. The focus of the
Iraq war motives has been on the war on terror, a war that began as a result of the
9/11 terrorist attacks. The project examined the speeches of President Bush, some
Bush administration officials and Congressional senators to find out why the United
States went to war with Iraq. In addition, this work also investigates the links
between the Neoconservative movement in the US and its influence on the course of
American foreign policy after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, particularly in relation to the
invasion Iraq, while it is so hard to imagine the decision for invading Iraq without the
great influence of the Neoconservatives. This research project offers a comparison
between the stated objectives of the war on Iraq 2003 and actual US behaviour and
investigates President Bush's real motives for going to war with Iraq, to get to the
result that the Bush's evolving explanation allow politicians and all the world to offer
dramatically various interpretations of his speeches and that the President has
deliberately misled the nation, and the world. The reasons the United States went
into Iraq were control of oil, the future of dollar and to fight behalf of Israel |
