Résumé : |
This research examines the rise of democracy in Britain as a new and important
factor which was represented by the working class movement throughout the nineteenth
century. The beginning of the twentieth century proves that by the emergence of a new
party which represents the working class and it struggled to shine later. The decline of the
liberal party and the absence of the conservative as a ruling party have greatly helped in
the occurrence of the Labour party first as an opposition party then as the major party. Its
first time in office took place in a difficult period in the British history as there were
economic crisis and it failed to maintain the office. However by their second time in
office it managed it with new ideas and solutions and proved that they were able to
govern though they did not succeed in their program. Unfortunately, they did not save the
office and solve the economic problem but they were capable of introducing and securing
democracy and from that time they were one of the major parties. |
