Tellian field. The studied land belong to the immigrant to Tellian affinities where the upper
Eocene-Cretaceous deposits belong to the Senonian unit. Their study uses multiple approaches
to order lithobiostratigraphique, paleoecological and paleobiogeographic. The
lithobiostratigraphique study based on planktonic foraminifera has established a new division
of well-individualized biozones.
The study association’s ostracods highlight eleven Paleoecologicalecozones. Regional
bathymetric evolution during the Late Cretaceous indicates a transgressive phase for
épibathyale area. The transition to the lower Paleocene, the water column moving towards
épibathyale area up to the mésobathyale area using Paleocene. From the Paleocene and Eocene
until the environment sees a lowering of sea level to the continental shelf.
The study area is characterized, during the interval analyzed by two major events: First, during
the Cretaceous-Paleocene transition denotes a considerable impoverishment of wildlife
ostracods; then, during the passage Paleocene-Eocène IETM is the area marked by a fall in
ostracods and even the total absence.
The Oran region see appear the movements of several species that indicate local

The whole part of the margin of the African plate to which the Alpine tectonics plays a crucial role in setting up different structures. Its structural evolution is related to tectonic events succeeding in the time since the end of the Paleozoic until today.
The terrain encountered in the study area are generally of Meso-Cenozoic age, consisting essentially of marine facies carbonate clay interspersed occasionally by clay and sandstone deposits, corresponding to the Neocomian, Barremian and Albian and lower Miocene.
On the sedimentological level, the limestones of the Aptian at the series of massive, Dj. Fedjoudj, Bou Arif and Dj Tarf part in internal domain subtidal to intertidal facies in the majority depends on a complex barrier, generally characterized by oolitic facies. This is usually sought when mainly be a barrier reef area and because of their petrophysical characteristic.
On the tectonic map, different structures are represented by structures of Atlas plicatives direction (NE-SW) and the compartmentalized Timgad basin south.
The hydrocarbon potential map and the data areas (geological and geophysical) surrounding and by correlation with the sedimentological context of the region, the Aptian age limestone could be a real tank.
The interest in the study of Oolitic deposits along the barrier complex is the result of discoveries of oil in many parts of the world. Index. décimale : 550 Sciences de la terre Résumé : The study area belongs to the internal domain of the Alpine chain in the north-eastern of Algeria, in which Filfila massif, including marble deposit, is a segment of the base Kabylie.
The marble deposit of Filfila massif appeared like a tectonic window due to the erosion of the base of Petite Kabylie, it is the result of a contact metamorphic of average degree, which accrued between the granitic intrusions of the Langhian Age and the carbonate formations of the Lias, which occupied the lowest stratigraphic position in the parautochthon complex.
Petrographic study of deferens facies of the marble at this deposit has shown the carbonate nature of the marble; the opened gray colour is the most dominant one (72.75%).
The mineralogical study of the marbles revealed its richness by the calcite (94 to 99 %), this latter has a massive texture and essentially microcrystalline structure, and apparently it was recrystallized from a homogenous limestone, affected in some location by dolometazation.
The treatment of the marble chemical data of the samplings indicates of the homogeneity of the marble, and its stability of CaCO3 in depth with content varies from 94 to 99%, it is also characterized by the presence of small amounts of oxides of some elements.
The analysis of the fracturing as a key criterion in assessing the quality of the marble has shown a vertical development, in general way; the major orientation of the cracks is to the NE-SW, (N40°-60 °E).
The applied method of exploitation in the Filfila quarry relies on the use both of the cutter machine and diamond wire together, but the existence of fracturing in the marble of this deposit requires a specific technique. While the high intensity of fracturing in the marble of El-Chatt quarry justifies its operations by explosives, knowing that more than 70 % of the marble reserve in this deposit are not yet extracted.
However in order to improve the rate of recuperation of the marble that we extract from the quarry of Filfila ( decrease scraps to the minimum) , we should guide the operating front in a direction parallel to the major direction of cracking in the marbles, in order to extract blocks with a minimum cracks (1st choice).
We suggest also spending the upper part of El-Chatt quarry for producing the powders, because it consists essentially of the white marble.

Our work is motivated by the problem of abandoned mines and the problem of water inflow in underground works. The South Sétifien deposits of which Chaâbet El Hamra entered evaluation in 1991, just after the closure and the abundance of Kherzet Youssef following the flood that occurred in June 1990. These two deposits are located 50km south of Setif chief town, in the region of Ain Azel. Geologically this
area belongs to para-Autochtenous and Autochtenous Hodenian The study of the Châabet El Hamra mine shows that the aquifer of the Hauterivien dolomies is cracked and
karstified type, was stopped for the problems of the inflow of water. We have attempted a hydrodynamic study to determine the characteristics of the aquifer. This study is based on a battery of five boreholes that have been proposed to readjust their alignment in order to establish simulations of the drawdown of the groundwater beneath the mineralization, the purpose of which is to resume exploitation of the deposit. In addition, the hydrochemical study confirmed the non-pollution of this aquifer by heavy metals from the zinciferous mineralization of the deposit. And therefore confirm his potability On the other hand, groundwater and surrounding soil analyzes of the abandoned Kherzet Youssef mine were conducted to determine the impact of the dumps and waste rock stored in the vicinity of the mine on the environment and groundwater.
