Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : British and American Studies Electoral College Need Reform Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Opposition to the Electoral College existed even before the Framers made the decision on how the president of the United States would be chosen; however, the Founders at that time believed the Electoral College was the best method for choosing the president in the best interests of the individuals, states, and country as a whole, the nature of the system made it very controversial when it comes to honoring the democratic principles of the American people. The goal of this research was to evaluate the necessity of the Electoral College in the 21st century by examining both the oppositions’ and proponents’ arguments to the validity of Electoral College in modern times. The research found weaknesses in the oppositions’ claims that the Electoral College fails to fully represent the will of all the people in a democratic United States. This research recommends further debates to reconcile between the opponents and the proponents. Titre : The impact of israel lobby on the american foreign policy : 2000-2004 Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Fouad Chaibi, Auteur ; Nacer Magherbi, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2011 Importance : 68 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : American & British Studies Israel lobby American Foreign Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This present dissertation, a total of three chapters, is an attempt to investigate the
Israel lobby and its enormous power over the policymaking process in America, especially
foreign policy field. The focus is on how this lobby penetrates the lines of politicians and
made them a means to achieve its goal and serve the lobby agenda.
From the day of its creation 1948, the state of Israel succeeded in promoting its
friendship with the United States to the climax. This special relationship had been constructed
through the hard work of the Israel lobby in America.
This lobby has effective influential members within Congress and the executive branch to
ensure that Israel remains militarily and economically strong. The Israel lobby, despite its
small members in comparison to other lobbies, possesses advantages in those key areas that
are considered essential for an effective interest group. The Israel lobby has focused to target
a large number of members who are wealthy and highly regarded in their communities, a
grass roots organization that is large and vocal, significant access to political leaders, an
effective training program to lobby legislators; and general public support. However, many
critics are raised that the Israel lobby is an effective arm of the Israeli government which
embarrassingly manipulates the political process whenever it decides that there is a threat to
Israel's interests. This paper will examine the lobby origins, its structure and agenda, and its
lobbying techniques to better understand why the Israel lobby is considered by many to be the
most influential lobby in the U.S. CongressDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6574 The impact of israel lobby on the american foreign policy : 2000-2004 [texte imprimé] / Fouad Chaibi, Auteur ; Nacer Magherbi, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2011 . - 68 f. ; 30 cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : British and American Studies WILSONIAN POLICY DURING IDEALISM Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : In1917, when Woodrow Wilson asked the American Congress for a declaration
of war against Germany, he promised that the Great War would be a war to end all
wars. He insisted that the United States would fight for altruistic purposes; to preserve
peace and spread democracy throughout the world, and that there was no single
selfish element behind U.S. participation. Even by the end of the war, Wilson
proposed his Peace Program, claiming that it would be very effective in preventing
future wars. My aim is to make an assessment to Wilsonian Idealism, seeking out
whether Wilson was strictly sincere to his ideals in the First World War? were
Wilson's policies genuinely consistent to American neutrality before 1917? What
were the real reasons which motivated Wilson to break neutrality and to take his
country into the war on the side of the Allies? And what were the real aims behind
