At first, this work gives a whole description of the education system in England which it expounds upon the historical background and the impact of the Butler Act in the organization and the structure of school system. Then, this work examines the different reforms at different periods of time. We will focus on the Tony Blair’s reforms of education during the period (1997-2007) and his approach to reform primary and secondary schools. Besides that, we will talk about the period before Blair’s year’s in dealing with Thatcher’s policy on education during the period (1979-1990).
