| Résumé : |
The present research sheds light on teachers’ and students’beliefs and attitudes about the
effectiveness of teachers’ oral feedback on speaking skill improvement. It also aims at
identifying the criteria that teachers’ feedback should meet in order to be effective. It is
hypothesed that“teachers of Oral Expression at the University Des Frères Mentouri and their
students hold positive attitudes about the effectivenessof teachers’ oral feedback, and think
that it plays an important role in the development of students’ speaking skill”. To check the
hypothesis, a teacher questionnaire was administered to seven (07) oral expression teachers,
and a student questionnaire was administered to twenty (20) second year students who are
taught by the same teachers. The results reveal that teachers’ oral feedback is seen positively
by both teachers and learners and that both sides have specific criteria that make feedback
effective in their views. |
