Résumé : |
Speaking English has become a matter of interest, since it is considered as an
international language. All EFL learners want to be fluent and master the speaking skill at
first. For this reason, we need to raise students’ awerness about the importance of the
speaking skill by encouraging them to practice it. The present study, then, tries to investigate
students’ and teachers’ attitudes towards some communicative activities and strategies, and
how they help in improving the prouctive skill , this case research was conducted at the
departement of English of Mentouri’s University of Constantine 1. We hypothesized
according to this study that, if teachers use the appropriate communicative activities and
strategies in the classroom, they will enhance their students’ oral proficiency. In order to
comfirm this hypothesis, two questionnires were used as tools of research, they were
administred to both Master two students and teachers of oral expression. This study aims at
showing the effectivness of using different communictive activities and strategies that will
help EFL learners to promote their speaking skill, in addition to that, they will give them the
chance to remedy their mistakes and overcome the difficulties they face. The results of the
questionnaires reveals positive attitudes of both students and teachers, towards the use of
communicative activities and strategies to develop the speaking skill. |
