The Monroe Doctrine and its lingering effects were also exposed and examined in this work. The latter, describes in a very clear and concise method the era of the American intervention in the Latin American affairs including the Spanish-American war of 1898. The research’s most fundamental goal was to show weather the Spanish-American war was the cornerstone of the emergence or the declaration of the American imperialism or was due to the policy makers who were appointed at that period between the election of former Presidents James Monroe, William McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt.
