Résumé : |
The present study aims to show the relationship between self-esteem and speaking
performance , in foreign language classrooms. In other words, the present work is
mainly concerned with the role of self-esteem in developing or enhancing learners
oral skill in the classroom. It also attempts to shed some light on the importance
of other affective factors such as: :motivation and self- concept. It is by means of
two questionnaires administered to both teachers and third year L.M.D students,
at the department of foreign languages, at the University of Constantine, that we
investigated our hypothesis that look into high self-esteem students and their
speaking performance in the classroom. The results of the present study show
that high self-esteem develops and helps the learners to perform better orally,
which means that there is a positive correlation between them |
