For that reason, we hypothesis that, if the English department at Brothers Mentouri devotes a session to teaching English varieties, both teachers and students will develop a more cognitive awareness towards using the English varieties. To check the validity of our hypothesis, both (25) teachers of the English language and (35) students from the English department at Brothers Mentouri University were chosen randomly to answer the questionnaire. This latter will determine if teachers and students have a well confirmed attitude towards English varieties and do not mix between them. The results showed that a session about English varieties is compulsory to fulfill the needs of teachers and students towards the use of English varieties.
