Mentouti Constantine 1 University of the differences in high and low context communication
styles between their culture and the American one. This work is an attempt to diagnose the
problematic areas and the difficulties students face when holding an intercultural
communication with native speakers of the language they are learning, with the objective of
finding solutions to develop their intercultural and cross-cultural skills and not just their
linguistic skills. Therefore, we hypothesize that 2nd year EFL students at the Frères Mentouri
Constantine 1 University are not aware of the communicative differences of high and low
context existing between their culture and the American one. In an attempt to test the validity
of the hypothesis, a sample of fifty 2nd year EFL learners from the Department of English,
Frères Mentouri Constantine 1 University is chosen; a test is used as means to collect the data
needed. The results obtained from the test and its two main tasks are analysed and compared;
the outcomes support the hypothesis. The results have showed students’ lack of awareness
when it comes to the communicative differences of high and low context and denial of their
existence in the first place. Hence, students need a more cultural and communicative based
approach to learning English to enable them to better understand both their own culture and
that of the language they are leaning and to help grow their intercultural communicative skills
alongside the linguistic ones.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13473 Algerian EFL Students’ Awareness of the Communicative Differences of High and Low Context between the Algerian Culture and the American Culture: The Case of 2nd Year EFL Students, Frères Mentouri Constantine 1 University [texte imprimé] / Rania Ines Amamara, Auteur ; Naima Eutamene, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 84 f. ; 30cm.

well-being.
A wide range of individuals experience some form of anxiety, although not a new
phenomenon, no progress whatsoever has been made toward promoting mental health or
implementing services within universities. We hypothesize that university students suffer
from different types of anxiety and for that, the main aim is to shed some light on anxiety
and
its types that are experienced by learners. A questionnaire was administered to twenty one
first year students of English at Frères Mentouri Constantine 1 University to collect more
insights. The results obtained from the questionnaire show that university students have a
severe level of anxiety; some participants reported the lack of support services at university
as
a barrier for seeking help. Strategies are needed to promote awareness and encourage
implementation of services to meet the students’ mental health needs. In addition,
recommendations are suggested at the end of this studyDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=16012 Dissertation Submitted to a Partial Fulfilment of the Requirement for a Master Degree in Linguistics and Applied Language Studies [texte imprimé] / Maissa Boudrioua, Auteur ; Naima Eutamene, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2021 . - 84 f. ; 30 cm.

Titre : English as an important working tool in science and technology activities : The case of transportation engineering doctoral students university of constantine 1 Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Meroua Bouanane, Auteur ; Naima Eutamene, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2018 Importance : 68 f. Transportation Engineering PhD students are now, working on a research paper that must be
written in English, since it is published on an international scale. They face some crucial
issues when dealing in English and this goes to, the lack of the good training in English, in
addition to the English courses’ programs that are applied at science departments which do
not meet the students’ needs. This study goes over investigating whether science and
technology learners are aware of the importance of English and if they are looking forward
to develop their skills in English. Therefore, it is hypothesized that if the Algerian
departments of Science and Technology, apply a new syllabus in teaching the English
language including new techniques in teaching EST courses, students would have a better
level in English and they would be eager and interested more in learning English seriously.
A questionnaire and a test were set to assess a sample of 07 PhD students of Transportation
Engineering at Zarzara, University of Constantine1. The findings obtained revealed that

Titre : Improving students’ writing skill through project -based learning : The case of second-year secondary school students in zighoud youcef-constantine Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Khawla Zenati, Auteur ; Naima Eutamene, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2018 Importance : 75 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : une copie electronique pdf disponible au buc Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Writing Skill,Based Learning,Project Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This study deals with implementing project-based learning instruction in Secondary School
classrooms and examines its effectiveness in enhancing EFL learners’ writing skill
performance. Subsequently, we hypothesize that if more projects combined in the EFL
classrooms, learners’ writing skill will improve. To answer the study questions, we adopted
two main research tools: a test was conducted to second year foreign languages learners and a
teachers’ questionnaire. The aim of the test is to evaluate learners’ written work. The
questionnaire is done to reveal teachers attitudes towards the concept of PBL and its role in
enhancing EFL learners’ writing skills. The results of the study revealed that the use of
project-based learning was able to improve the students’ writing skills. Teachers at the two
secondary schools in Zighoud Youcef found PBL an efficient instruction to enhance students’
writing skills based on sufficient evidence. Firstly, the use of PBL enhanced students’
motivation in writing as the students showed enthusiastic and active participation during the
teaching learning process of writing. Secondly, project-based learning made the bond between
the teacher and the students closer as the teacher monitored and supervised the students
throughout the project work. Additionally, there were some significant improvements in the
aspects of writing as shown in students’ paragraphs. So, the results of the current study
confirm the hypothesis; holding PBL strategy in EFL classrooms provides positive effect on
enhancing students’ writing skills. Finally, PBL requires a gradual shift in teaching
methodology designed to suit the background of both the teachers and learners. These
adjustments will enhance the effectiveness in the application and implementation of PBL in a
foreign language classroom.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10428 Improving students’ writing skill through project -based learning : The case of second-year secondary school students in zighoud youcef-constantine [texte imprimé] / Khawla Zenati, Auteur ; Naima Eutamene, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 75 f. ; 30 cm.
