Performance.Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This study aims at examining teachers’ and students' attitudes towards the impact of anxiety
on students' oral performance. It is hypothesized that anxiety affects EFL students’ oral
performance negatively that they feel nervous when speaking English and may not be able to
recall the words and sentence structures they need due to the anxiety, lack of self-confidence
and stress . To check our hypothesis, we have made use of a descriptive method in which we
have relied on 8 Oral Expression teachers' as well as 30 Second Year students' questionnaires
in the Department of Letters and English, Frères Mentouri University, Constantine 1. The
results obtained through both questionnaires revealed that anxiety could affect negatively
students' oral performance. In other words, it creates several obstacles for learners when it
comes to their ability to communicate and speak. Thus, our hypothesis has been confirmed.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=14601 Attitudes towards the Impact of Anxiety on Students’ Speaking Skill Case study: Second Year Students in Frères Mentouri University, Constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Rania Benoudina, Auteur ; Meriem Lebsir, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 89 f. ; 30cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Anxiety Oral Performance students negatively. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This study aims to check the effect of anxiety on the EFL learners while performing oral
activities, to look for the causes behind that anxiety and to find out solutions to this obstacle.
To carry out this research, we have hypothesized that when EFL learners feel anxious this
would affect negatively their oral performance, we have hypothesized also: “if teachers and
learners use certain strategies and techniques in the oral classroom, anxiety will decrease.” In
order to check the validity of our hypotheses, we have used two questionnaires and an
observation. The first questionnaire was designed for a group of (18) third year students at the
ENS of Constantine, and the other questionnaire was addressed to (12) teachers, at the same
department, whose course includes oral performances. The second tool which is the
observation was made on the same sample of students to add more credibility to our work
which is based on three chapters. The two first chapters are theoretical. They are concerned
with the speaking skill, anxiety and the relationship that exists between this later and the oral
performance. The last chapter is the practical chapter which is concerned with the analysis of
the two questionnaires and the observations. The analysis of the findings confirmed the above
hypotheses. Both the teachers and the learners answered our questions and stated several
causes, effects, techniques and strategies to be used as a solution for the problem of the
speaking anxiety which affects the students negativelyDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13471 The Effect of Anxiety on EFL Learners Oral Performance: The Case Study of Third Year Students of English at the ENS of Constantine [texte imprimé] / Ghozelane Fadila Bouhelais, Auteur ; Habiba Toualbia, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 88 f. ; 30cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Anxiety English Foreign Language Learners’Oral Performance Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : is considered as a very important issue that most foreign language learners suffer from. The present study examines the issue of foreign language anxiety, and it aims to realize two main objectives. First, it aims to explore the causes that lead to anxiety, and its effects on foreign language students’
speaking performance. Second, it aims to look for effective strategies that teachers and students can use in order to decrease anxiety and enhance the foreign language students’ speaking peformance. The hypothesis states that anxiety is behind the hesitation of students in speaking in English; thus, if some effective procedures are found to reduce it, this may help learners to enhance and promote their oral performance. As means of research, the study depends on two questionnaires addressed to both students and teachers to check the hypothesis. The students’ questionnaire is administered to forty students of second year of English in the Department of Letters and English at the University ”Frères Mentouri”, Constantine. The teachers’ questionnaire is given to ten teachers in the same department. The findings of the study reveal that language anxiety can originate from different factors which hurdle the students’
learning and their oral performance. The outcomes also show a diversity of strategies that learners and teachers can depend on to minimize foreign language anxiety and can lead to students’ better oral performance.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=5486 The effect of anxiety on english as a foreign language learners’ oral performance : The case of second year students of english at the university “frère mentouri”, constantine [texte imprimé] / Naima Baghi, Auteur ; Salima Selmen, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2016 . - 74 f. ; 30 cm.

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Sciences Anxiety Students’ Oral Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This study is conducted to investigate the matter of foreign language anxiety and its effect on students’ oral performance in the process of learning. It aims to uncover the main causes of students’ anxiety and then, to find out ways to reduce it in order to perform better orally. We hypothesize that if EFL students feel anxious in oral classes, then their oral performance will be impacted negatively. The research depends on two main data gathering tools, which are a questionnaire and a test. The questionnaire was directed to 15 teachers at the Department of Letters and English language, University of Mentouri-Constantine, and another one was administered to 50 second year LMD students of English (which was drawn from a population size of 343 students) at the same department, in addition to the students’ test scores to compare between their oral performance scores and their level of anxiety. The results displays that most foreign language students have a moderate level of anxiety, particularly in the speaking skill. Furthermore, their anxiety in oral performance is caused by many factors, among them communication apprehension, test anxiety, and fear of negative evaluation, which impact their learning and lead to a poor performance in the classroom. The results also represent different strategies that students and teachers can use to lower foreign language anxiety and help students to improve and develop their level of oral performance Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=5147 The effect of anxiety on students’ oral performance : The case of second year (lmd) students of english at mentouri university, constantine [texte imprimé] / Hiba Bouakicha, Auteur ; Narimane Bouchoucha, Auteur ; Imen Bilouk, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 87 f. ; 30 cm.
