Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This study aims at exploring and describing the different strategies of apology used by Algerian
males and females in Constantine dialect. The case study is based on Native Speakers of
Algerian Arabic particularly Constantine dialect which is their mother tongue. This research
contains two chapters that are the theoretical chapter and the practical chapter. This research
rests on two tools which are Discourse Completion Test (DCT) and a questionnaire, The
Discourse Completion Task contains situations that the fifty-eight participants imagine
themselves in and answer accordingly. Both tools seek to find and to examine the different
strategies used by Algerian males and females when apologize. The results of the study reveal
that Algerian males tend to apologize more than Algerian females in different cases. Also, the
findings of the study proved that there are differences and similarities in the use of apology
strategies by both genders. But the Algerian males use more strategies than Algerian females in
almost all the situations suggested in the research. From these findings, it is clear that gender is
influenceable in apology. However, women are not brave enough to apologize; they
underestimate themselves when they apologize to someone. The results show that The Algerian
society is divided into two categories which are the apologetic and the unapologetic society. To
sum up, the findings of this research are not consistent with the two hypothesis of the study.
The hypothesis of the study argues that Algerian women tend to apologize more than Algerian
men and they use apology strategies more than men; however, the results of the study proved
the opposite. Therefore, the findings negate the two hypothesis.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=11647 Apology Strategies Used By Males And Females a Casestudy of Native Speakers of Algerian Arabic, Constantine Dialect [texte imprimé] / Amel Chaouaou, Auteur ; Amira Belgroun, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2019 . - 105 f. ; 30cm.

didactics; particularly, first-year students' attitudes towards the teacher's written corrective
feedback in the module of writing. In addition to that, it aims to describe how the teacher is
going to provide corrective feedback in learning the writing skill. Finally, it aims at finding
out the students' preferred methods of corrective feedback. Our study is based upon this
hypothesis: students would hold positive attitudes towards their teacher’s corrective feedback
in the module of writing. The participants in this study are first-year LMD Students at the
University of Frères Mentouri Constantine, at the Department of English language. The
sample is composed of twenty-nine (29) students of group eight (08). This research was used
a descriptive method that includes questionnaires for both the teacher of written expression
(WE) and her students to know about their opinions, perceptions, and attitudes concerning
corrective feedback. The results of the latter showed that students indeed hold positive
attitudes towards their teacher’s feedback concerning the module of WE which proves the
validity of the hypothesis. They also indicate that the teacher's feedback is very important for
the students' performance.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13503 Investigating Students’ Attitudes towards Teacher’s Written Corrective Feedback in the Module of Writing The Case of First Year Students of English at Frères Mentouri, University of Constantine [texte imprimé] / Fouzia Zouaghi, Auteur ; Amira Belgroun, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 73 f. ; 30cm.

Teaching Tool.Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Humor is the mankind’s saving grace, and the protective factor against anxiety. The present
work aims at investigating the effectiveness of using humor as a teaching tool in reducing
students’ school anxiety. The population under study is the first year, literary stream of
Sakiat Boukhmis High school. Furthermore, this study attempts to answer a series of
questions about students’ anxiety inside the classroom, and how to use humor in the right way
in order to reduce their school tension and apprehensiveness. Accordingly, we hypothesized
that the use of humor as a pedagogical tool would be effective in reducing students’ school
anxiety. Aiming to obtain exact and well-accredited results of this research; the researcher
conducted a one month experiment, accompanied with a pre-test and a post-test that were
distributed to 25 students. Hence, the gathered data were analyzed qualitatively and
quantitatively. At the end, the obtained findings show that using humor by teachers is
effective to reduce students’ anxiety and tension inside the classroom, create a better
teaching-learning atmosphere, enhance the student’s class engagement and thus reach the
teaching-learning objectives appropriately. Hence, the given hypothesis was proven.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13256 Investigating the Effectiveness of Using Humor as a Teaching Tool in Reducing Students’ School Anxiety Case Study: 1st Year, Literary Stream of Sakiat Boukhmis High School, Nouvelle Ville, Constantine [texte imprimé] / Zineb Rayene Foughali, Auteur ; Amira Belgroun, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 93 f. ; 30cm.

Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Introversion Teaching the Speaking skill oral Performance. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : University English teachers of oral expression module go through a path full of obstacles
when teaching the speaking skill to EFL learners. One of these problems is the introverted
personality of students who are usually passive in such module and refuse to practice their
oral skill and thus improve it. Hence, this study is conducted to tackle this specific issue as it
attempts to find possible solutions to spot introverts and make them more active to develop
their speaking performance. The aim behind this investigation is detecting different reasons
behind introverts passiveness, their needs and their struggles in the subject-matter as well as
seeking different teaching techniques to help them enhance their oral performance in the
English language. Therefore, it is hypothesized that the awareness of the personality type of
EFL learners helps the oral English teachers to know their students’ needs which enables
them to use the appropriate teaching strategies to enhance the introverts’ oral performance.
Testing its validity requires following a descriptive method in which the researcher randomly
selects 32 third year English students studying at “Frères Mentouri Constantine1 University”
to do the MBTI online test. This personality test enables the investigator to select and
interview the 15 introverted ones of the selected sample. After analysing the collected data, it
has been concluded that there are several effective techniques OE teachers may follow to
boost their EFL introverted students speaking performance which confirms the validity of the
hypothesis.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15344 Investigating the EFL Introverted Learners’ Attitude towards Oral Expression Module and the Role of Oral Expression Teachers in Raising their Speaking Performance The Case of Third Year Students of English at “Frères Mentouri University”- Constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Abir Mouat, Auteur ; Amira Belgroun, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2021 . - 79 f. ; 30 cm.

phonetics TEFIndex. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Articulatory phonetics plays a vital role in developing students' pronunciation. Therefore, students
are initiated to core articulatory phonetics' concepts in their first year. Nevertheless, this part of
foreign language instruction seems to be challenging for students. The current research aims to
shed light on the challenges that students face in the phonetics course. It also seeks to know
students' and teachers' attitudes towards incorporating mind maps in the teaching of phonetics.
Fundamentally, it has the purpose of discovering the possible advantages that mind maps may
bring to phonetics pedagogy. In pursuing this aim, two questionnaires were implemented. The first
questionnaire targeted first-year BA students and the second one was submitted to phonetics
teachers at the department of English of Frères Mentouri Constantine 1 University. The findings
confirmed the hypothesis that students do face difficulties in learning phonetic content. Moreover,
the results revealed that both categories of participants have a high degree of favorability towards
integrating mind maps in phonetics class to bring clarity and organization.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13418 Students’ and Teachers’ Attitudes towards Using Mind Maps in Teaching Phonetics to First-Year BA Students of English at Frères Mentouri Constantine 1 University [texte imprimé] / Khouloud Séghira Benkaidia, Auteur ; Amira Belgroun, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 92 f. ; 30cm.
