The current research work aims at investigating the problems of anxiety that third year
student’s face during the time spent at university, its sources and how it affects their
decisions. Anxiety seems to hinder third year students in their learning process, for this reason
it is hypothesized that if third year students of English learn how to manipulate and adapt their
anxiety; they will easily enhance their learning. Consequently, they will achieve better results.
Hence, in this research, a questionnaire and a test were administered to forty third year
students at the department of English Constantine 1university. The results obtained show that
more than half of the students are negatively affected by anxiety in their performance and
decisions. Thus, if they can overcome anxiety they will achieve better results in their learning
English. |
