Résumé : |
This work is an analysis of the foreign policy of the United States in the first years of the Post
Cold War Era which is known as the New World Order. It was created to formulate the order
of international politics, to give a new spirit of cooperation among the nations in order to
realize peace. This period of U.S. foreign policy is one of the most debatable topics in the
international relations field. The main concern of the first chapter is the historical background
of Bush’s New World Order. The Second chapter’s main focus is the definition of the new
world order, its principles, the goals of the U.S. to establish the N.W.O., the role of the United
Nations. This chapter also determines that the Gulf war was the first test to the New World
Order and the U. S. and its allies were justified to enter the war against Iraq. The third chapter
explores the main reasons that led to the Gulf crisis in 1990, what the U.S. really wanted to
achieve there and the reactions to the war.
