Acquisition, and most of the learners are not satisfied with their vocabulary learning
outcomes. Therefore, it is inevitable for them to learn a number of words to be able to
perform all the language functions effectively. In fact, learners differ in the way they learn
new words. Likewise, teachers use different methods in vocabulary teaching. One
recommended method for students’ vocabulary promotion is cooperative learning. The overall
aim of this study is to raise teachers’ and students’ awareness of group skills. The present
research is devoted to examine the effectiveness of applying Cooperative Learning
Techniques to teaching English in English as a Foreign Language classrooms to raise
students’ vocabulary achievement. In order to achieve this objective, a theoretical and
practical research is carried out. This disserttion falls into three main chapters; the first two
chapters explore the theoretical literature review on cooperative learning methods and
vocabulary learning in the foreign language classroom; whereas, the third one represents the
practical part. Our research is built upon the hypothesis that “If students were involved in
group work activities more frequently, they would gain more vocabulary items”. To test it, we
have conducted a qualitative analysis. A questionnaire was administered to both teachers and
students from Constantine One University. The results indicate that the participants, on the
whole, tend to prefer the cooperative learning method over individualistic learning in terms of
learning new vocabulary. Finally, a number of pedagogical recommendations are suggested
for students and teachers in order to implement a better vocabulary teaching/learning, and
thus to solve some learners’ problems of foreign language learningDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=12836 Adapting Group Work in Cooperative Learning Classroom to Help Learners Learn Vocabulary : The Case of Third Year LMD Students Department of Letters and English Language Constantine 1 University [texte imprimé] / Hayette Salhi, Auteur ; Samir Laraba, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2013 . - 110 f. ; 30 cm.

become comfortable in classes. Generally, effective teachers are aware of achieving this issue.
This research attempts to clarify the importance of providing appropriate classroom
environment in order to help students improve their levels. In order to carry out our study, we
hypothesized that if teachers adapt an effective classroom management, this would eventually
lead to successful learning achievement. To achieve and test the validity of this hypothesis,
two questionnaires were directed: one to second- year LMD students (65 students), and the
other to some teachers (25 teachers) at the Department of Letters and English Language,
Constantine 1 University. The results obtained from the two questionnaires demonstrate that
teachers and students are aware of the importance of a well-dominated classroom on learning
performance, but both complain of the lack of means, huge numbers of students, and bad
learning circumstances. So, in analyzing both questionnaires we assume that classroom
management is the key component to learners’ achievementsDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6493 Classroom management effect on students’ learning : The case of second year l.m.d students, department of letters and english language, constantine 1 university. cooperative group work. It further attempts to examine the possibility of enhancing students’
oral production through peer and small group work. The target population of this study is the
third year LMD students at Constantine 1 University. The present research project is
composed of three chapters. The first two chapters represent the literature review of our topic
of interest, while chapter three is the field work. It was undertaken by administering two
questionnaires: one for English teachers at University of Constantine 1, and another for 3rd
year English students belonging to the same institution. This is to know about their awareness
about the importance of cooperative learning as a means to enhance the learners’ English
speaking skill. All in all, the obtained results have strongly confirmed the hypothesis on
which this research is built: that if third year LMD students at Constantine 1 University were

Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Language Sciences DevelopingSpeaking Skill Classroom Interaction Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This dissertation attempts to identify the role of classroom interaction in developing students’
speaking skill. The problem is that learners’ speaking ability is not good. This problem may
be due to the methods and techniques followed by the teachers of English in teaching the
speaking skill. Those methods and techniques do not lead learners to learn how to
communicate. For this reason, we suggest classroom interaction which we hope will help
learners to learn how to communicate and how to develop the speaking skill. In this research,
we use two questionnaires. One is handed to 10 teachers who have been teaching for some
years oral expression. The second one is handed to the third year students in the department of
English at Constantine 1 University. The results of this questionnaire show that the classroom
interaction is an important technique in developing the speaking skill. The students’
questionnaire is used in order to see the effectiveness of classroom interaction in learning the
speaking skill. The results of the questionnaire demonstrate that classroom interaction helped
