Résumé : |
In a foreign language, writing is one of the most challenging and complex tasks for learners. Due to the complexity of this skill, many students face difficulties to produce an adequate piece of writing. The present study aims at investigating the attitudes of both teachers and learners about the use of mind mapping as a learning and a teaching technique to enhance students’ written performance. In addition to that, explaining how mind mapping works and highlight the benefits of using this technique. The main aim then is to determine whether the students’ writing achievement would be enhanced when the technique of mind mapping is used. To realize this aim, two questionnaires are used to collect data, the first questionnaire is administrated to Written Expression teachers, and the second questionnaire is given to third year students at the Department of English at University Des Frère Mentouri-Constantine. The research findings have shown that the teachers and the students hold positive attitudes towards using mind mapping as a learning and a teaching technique to enhance the writing achievement of learners. |
