It focuses on the strategies adopted by these students in order to get appropriate equivalents. The research tool used to investigate these difficulties is a test which contains forty biological terms. The data show that students when translating those terms face the following difficulties. First, they are not competent enough to select the appropriate strategy and, second, they do not comply with the grammatical rules pertaining to such words. At last, their linguistic background lacks scientific terminology.
