Languages, at the Department of Arts and English Language, University of Constantine 1,
encounter when translating biological terms from English into Arabic. It focuses on the
strategies adopted by these students in order to get appropriate equivalents. The research tool
used to investigate these difficulties is a test which contains forty biological terms. The data
show that students when translating those terms face the following difficulties. First, they are
not competent enough to select the appropriate strategy and, second, they do not comply with
the grammatical rules pertaining to such words. At last, their linguistic background lacks
scientific terminology.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=1784 Difficulties in translating biological terms from english into arabic : The case of third year applied languages students at the department of arts and the english language in university of constantine 1 [texte imprimé] / Naoua Baouni, Auteur ; Amira Benabdelkader, Auteur ; Youcef Beghoul, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : UNIVERSITE DES FRERES MENTOURI, 2014 . - 55.f ; 30cm.

Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : List of Abbreviations and Acronyms Literature review. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Comprehension and vocabulary are essential to learn a language. In the teaching – learning
process, students of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) need to learn as much vocabulary
as they can in order to be able to communicate effectively. For that, this study is set to shed
light on the effectiveness of visual learning with particular interest in picture dictionaries. The
aim is to investigate the role and effects of picture dictionaries on developing the students’
comprehension, retention of words and overall their linguistic skills. In order to dig into its
effectiveness, an empirical quantitative study was conducted. The questionnaire was the main
and only research means that was administered to a random sample of 60 English students at
different levels studying at the Department of English Language and Letters at University
Mentouri Brothers – Constantine 1. The findings revealed that, because the majority of
students are visual learners, they gain more profit from using visual aids. Therefore, picture
dictionaries, which are considered as a visual aid, are viewed as a useful resource to be
applied, and indeed contribute, not only to change the atmosphere of a classroom, but also to
enhance their memory and comprehension skills.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15322 Exploring the Use(s) and Effectiveness of Picture Dictionaries in Developing the Students' Linguistic Skills The Case of EFL Students at Department of Arts and English Language, University Frères Mentouri – Constantine [texte imprimé] / Mounia Bensaadi, Auteur ; Amira Benabdelkader, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2021 . - 60 f. ; 30 cm.

Titre : Investigating the Use(s) of Games in the Writing Classes and their Role in Improving EFL Students’ Achievements Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Roumaissa Soualmia, Auteur ; Amira Benabdelkader, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2021 Importance : 91 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Difficulties in Writing and Learning to Write The Process Approach The Product Approach. Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Writing has an essential role in the process of teaching/learning English. For that,
teachers should be aware of the techniques they use to help their students write
better. One of these techniques that can be used is integrating games. The main
purpose of this work is to explore the role of using games as a teaching strategy in
the writing module classes of first year LMD students of English. To fulfil this aim,
two questionnaires were devised for both ten (10) teachers and thirty (30) students in
order to reveal their attitudes towards the use of games and their role in enhancing
EFL learners’ level. The obtained results of the study showed that games can be used
to develop different aspects in their writing as vocabulary, grammar, spelling and lack
of ideas. The fact that games are varied in types offers the teacher the choice to
decide which type to use that can fit students’ needs. When using games, students
can indeed become the core centre of the lesson while teachers will be only
monitoring and guiding them throughout the process of playing, also learning. This
motivates learners to be engaged in classes and improve their communication,
cooperation and competition.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15808 Investigating the Use(s) of Games in the Writing Classes and their Role in Improving EFL Students’ Achievements [texte imprimé] / Roumaissa Soualmia, Auteur ; Amira Benabdelkader, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2021 . - 91 f. ; 30 cm.
