Vocabulary is an important aspect in English language teaching and learning, but students have less willing to learn it because they always regard it as a boring subject. To help language learners find vocabulary lessons more interesting, we undertook this study which aims to investigate the use of games as a strategy to learn and memorize vocabulary. In perspective of helping them for better learning in an enjoyable atmosphere, a sample of students has been exposed to language games teaching during four sessions. In parallel, a questionnaire and two t-test has been filled in by a group of teachers of Writing with the purpose of unveiling their attitudes towards the use of games in teaching vocabulary. The collected data have finally revealed the feasibility of using language games and their efficiency as specified in the set hypothesis. |
