In addition to teachers’ attitudes towards English, and their views on students’ use of English in oral classes. Thus, we hypothesized that the awareness of third year students of English of the differences between British English and American is helpful for them to use both varieties properly. Fifty students out of three hundred from the students of third year at the department of English were chosen randomly to answer a questionnaire, and another questionnaire delivered to nine teachers of oral expression. The results show that third year students of English are aware of some differences between American and British English. However, they are not yet able to produce a proper variety.
