Résumé : |
The present research paper focuses on the impact of segregation on African Americans
starting by slavery and how it all began, to Martin Luther King Jr. ‘leadership of the Civil Rights
Movement through his nonviolent revolution to bring equality for all blacks, until his
assassination in 1968. It is essentially to explore and to show the readers how the word “race”
could affect blacks who were kidnapped and brought by force to live outcast through slavery and
racial discrimination throughout the years in America. On the other hand, this dissertation
spotlight, mostly, Martin Luther King Jr. the peaceful man, who could change the whole nation’s
attitude towards blacks in bringing equality and civil rights to all blacks in America. He
eventually succeeded in providing them with full citizenship as true Americans without being
called Negroes or Africans. However, his longest and most torment peaceful road came with it
fruits through serious sacrifices that eventually brought equality and civil rights but led to King’s
assassination. |
