Résumé :	In this work, I have examined the organization of the English education system and the types of schools that exist in England and Wales. I have also focused on the evolution of this education system since the Butler Act and the impact of the later reforms on it. These reforms were made by different governments that had different political ideologies. The immigrant children were studying in English schools, the government looked on how to integrate them both in the society and at schools by referring to the three main policies that were hold in order to help these immigrant pupils being absorbed in the host society.
