Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : American and British Studies Weapons CivilRights Parks Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This work seeks to give an idea about the noteworthy role played by African
American women during the progress of The Civil Rights Movements 1960s through the key studies
of Rosa Parks and Ella Baker. Despite the fact that African American women played significant role in
the civil rights movement, they were not given necessary attention and consideration they deserved.
Their names are lost in pages of history. People all over the US celebrate Martin Luther King Jr’s
birthday, but little do they know that without the help, support and hard work from African
American women, particularly Rosa Parks and Ella Baker, Dr. King would not have been able to
accomplish as much as he did. In fact, it was Park’s act of defiance that sparked the national civil
rights movement, and this movement would not have been successful if it was not supported by
behind the scene work of Ella Baker and other civil rights activistsDiplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6752 Rosal mparks &ellajo. baker; female : Weapons in the civil rights movement 1960s [texte imprimé] / Yasmina Laib, Auteur ; Nasr-Eddine Megherbi, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2011 . - 78 f. ; 30 cm.

Titre : The breakdown of the us banking system during the great depression 1929-1934 Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Dalila Allaoui, Auteur ; Nasr-Eddine Megherbi, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2013 Importance : 56 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : AMERICAN AND BRITISH STUDIES submitted partial fulfillment Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This research deals with the bank failures, which were one of the most significant aspects of the Great Depression in the United States, and the different reform measures taken by both Presidents Herbert Hoover and Franklin Roosevelt to save the banking system. The problems in the banks undermined public‟s confidence, weaknesses in the whole financial system were apparent and by the beginning of 1930, a growing wave of bank failures followed. This work is divided into two chapters; the first chapter explores the different causes of the banking crisis and its consequences on banks and people‟s confidence. The second chapter examines the various attempts that Hoover and Roosevelt did in order to avoid a large scale financial crisis during the 1930‟s. To some extent, the study shows that the banking distress in the United States was among the main reasons that led to the Great Depression and it did not only affect the banks but caused a distress in the whole economy as well. Titre : The conspiracy theory and its prevalence in the american society Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Azza Boural, Auteur ; Nasr-Eddine Megherbi, Directeur de thèse Editeur : CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine Année de publication : 2017 Importance : 100 f. Format : 30 cm. Note générale : Une copie électronique PDF disponible en BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : British and American Studies Conspiracy Theory Prevalence American Society Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : This study examines the wide spread of a particular phenomenon in the U.S.A. This
phenomenon and the theory which represents the main interest of this dissertation is Conspiracy
Theory. It rejects the notion that Conspiracy Theory is a delusional way of making sense of
events, and it demonstrates that what is been understood as superficial and shallow has roots that
goes way deeper in the nation’s past. The prevalence of the Conspiracy notion, however, is
related to various factors, but three of them probably stand out most. On a social level, the U.S.A
is known for being a Salad Bowl, an amalgam of different nationalities, a trait that nurtures the
paranoia. On a political level, the sense of mission the Americans believe they are burned with
contributes in the rise of suspicion. And finally, the cultural arena with media promotion through
movies and novels penetrated the notion of conspiracy in the American mind. Still, the theory,
like any other has its adherents and its opponents. The latter tends to dismiss the notion of
conspiracy because it is perceived as distortion of historical events that can lead to great dangers.
Its adherents on the other hand, see it as a power magnet, mostly used in specific times, on
particular individuals for needed ends. Conspiracy Theory is a controversial topic that has been
the interest of various fields besides the cultural studies; from sociology and psychology, to
political science, philosophy and journalism.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6901 The conspiracy theory and its prevalence in the american society [texte imprimé] / Azza Boural, Auteur ; Nasr-Eddine Megherbi, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2017 . - 100 f. ; 30 cm.
