Résumé : |
The process of writing a dissertation needs in general a lot of skills. This work studies
the use of time management in writing dissertations. In other words, it investigates the use of
time during this process to know how much students are aware of the importance of managing
and controlling their time. It is hypothesized that Master 2 students, in the Department of
letters and English language, university of Constantine01, will have a successful time
management and complete their work on time if they are aware of its importance and the use
of the appropriate strategies, and also know how to avoid wasters of time especially
procrastination. We have used a questionnaire to check the hypothesis by asking -a sample of
30 students among the whole population- various questions related to this subject. The results
show that students encounter different problems during the process of writing a dissertation.
Among the difficulties they have to cope with, finding reliable resources is uppermost in their
minds; as such, they suffer a lot from the problem of wasting time. Although they recognize
the importance of time management in writing their dissertation, they cannot avoid
procrastination. At last, it has been shown that students know some basic techniques of time
management but, unfortunately, they do not practice them efficiently. |
