English has become the most important language of communication across the world;
however, non-native speakers usually face difficulties to use foreign language which
makes them avoid speaking it. Also, there are some sources ensuring that speaking
accurately and fluently is the most important issue of mastering the foreign language.
Moreover, for developing learners’ speaking skill the teacher should encourage his
students by creating motivating atmosphere which makes them trust their abilities and
attempt to enhance their speaking skills. The present study aims at discovering the
relationship between motivation in the classroom and the learner’s oral performance.
This dissertation consists from two chapters; the first chapter is the theoretical part, is
divided into two sections, and the second chapter is the practical part. This current study
is based on two questionnaires administer to both 2nd year LMD students of English
and teachers of oral expression at the University of Constantine 1. The obtained results
show that there is a relationship between motivation and increasing learners’ oral
performance which means that the results are correlated positively with our hypothesis |
