communicate appropriately. However, English as a Foreign Language students encounter
serious difficulties concerning this aspect of language and they are still unqualified to
communicate in English fluently. The aim of this work is to highlight the impact of social media
on enhancing students’ vocabulary reservoir at Mentouri Brothers University Constantine-1 as
well as to investigate the fact that social media may be an additional tool of improving students’
vocabulary. The questions that this research seeks to answer revolve around knowing the impact
of Social Media on EFL LMD learners’ vocabulary. In this respect, we hypothesize that “social
media is considered as an extra tool for the students to improve their vocabulary.” In order to
test this hypothesis, we delivered a designed questionnaire administrated for both students and
teachers of English as a tool of collecting data. Consequently, the findings of this research
confirmed that social media contributes in developing students’ vocabulary knowledge.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9554 Investigating the role of social media in improving efl learners’ vocabulary knowledge; teachers’ and students’perception : Case study of second year LMD students of english, mentouri brothers [texte imprimé] / Imen Haloui, Auteur ; Khadidja Kouicem, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2018 . - 102 f. ; 30 cm.

learning of English as a foreign language. However, the majority of teachers do not
incorporate these educational materials when they teach because of many reasons mainly the
lack of the various equipments. The principle aim behind this research is to shed light on the
importance of incorporating educational technology, and its significant role in improving the
students‟ aural skills. Therefore, we hypothesized that if teachers incorporate educational
technology in EFL classrooms, students would develop their aural skills. To perform this
research, fourteen teachers of Oral Expression and forty students of second year LMD at the
English department at Constantine University were selected as samples. Two questionnaires
as instruments to collect data and therefore to check our hypothesis were addressed for both
teachers and students. The results of the questionnaires revealed that the use of educational
technology is very helpful for developing the students' aural skills. That is, both of the
teachers and students recognized the importance of utilizing technological materials.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=11129 Teachers’ and students’ attitudes towards incorporating educational technology for enhancing the aural skills : The case of second-year students of english- university of frères mentouri-constantine [texte imprimé] / Khadidja Boufelaas, Auteur ; Khadidja Kouicem, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2016 . - 103 f. ; 30 cm.

students use e-books, their reading motivation will be increased”, two questionnaires were
delivered to both teachers and students to elicit their opinions about the research topic. Our
sample consisted of sixty third year students of English in the department of English at
Constantine University, as well as fourteen teachers of English in the same department. Based

Format : 30cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Français (fre) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : One of the most notable issues in the field of second language acquisition is the role of the
first language in the EFL classrooms. The debate over whether or not to use L1 while teaching
and learning a foreign language is very complex, and different attitudes and beliefs have been
held toward this issue. In this research, we aimed to find out how teachers and students view
first language use in a foreign language classroom. In other words, we intended to investigate
the teachers‟ and students‟ perceptions of using first language and its impact on the foreign
language teaching and learning. Accordingly, we hypothesized that if the first language is
used appropriately without any exaggeration, it would be a helpful means in the foreign
language teaching and learning process. In order to investigate such hypothesis, two
questionnaires were distributed to teachers and students. The teachers questionnaire was given
to twenty EFL teachers in the department of English at Constantine University, and the
students questionnaire was handed in to sixty students of second year LMD in the same
department. The questionnaires demonstrated that the mother tongue is used by the majority
of the student participants who believe that instead of being ignored, first language can play a
supportive and a facilitating role in learning a foreign language. On the other hand, the
teachers‟ views regarding L1 use were different from the students‟ views. Approximately, all
of them encourage the exclusive use of English in the classroom because they believe that
first language use can hinder the progress of mastering the target language.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=12263 Teachers’ and Students’ Attitudes towards the Role of First Language in EFL Classroom The Case of Second Year Students of English. Format : 30cm. Note générale : Une copie electronique PDF disponible au BUC. Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Lettres et Langues Etrangères:Langue Anglaise Tags : Intercultural Sensitivity culture in language . Index. décimale : 420 Langue anglaise Résumé : Incorporating culture in language classrooms became a necessity in today’s educational
systems. The strong relationship between language and culture draw attention to promoting
students’ positive attitudes towards other cultures. However, many factors are said to interfere
when it comes to develop the students’ intercultural understanding; among these factors is
gender difference. This research work, therefore, aimed at investigating the relationship
between gender difference and intercultural sensitivity. The hypothesis that was the starting
point of this research is that there is a significant influence of gender difference on the
students’ level of intercultural sensitivity. In other words, the research aimed at measuring
separately male and female students’ level of intercultural sensitivity. Second year students of
English at Mentouri Brothers/ Constantine 1 University were the target population of this
research work. To check the validity of the hypothesis, a questionnaire was distributed to 44
students (22 males, 22 females). After analysing the findings, we came to the conclusion that
gender difference does not have any evident impact on the students’ intercultural sensitivity;
males and females have similar reactions and attitudes towards cultural differences, and there
were slightly different responses in some situations that do not affect the overall findings.
Accordingly, the hypothesis set for this research is rejected.Diplome : Master 2 Permalink : https://bu.umc.edu.dz/master/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13408 The Effect of Gender Difference on Developing the Students’ Intercultural Sensitivity Case Study of Second Year Students of English at Mentouri Brothers/Constantine 1 University [texte imprimé] / Badra Kassi, Auteur ; Khadidja Kouicem, Directeur de thèse . - CONSTANTINE [ALGERIE] : Université Frères Mentouri Constantine, 2020 . - 96 f. ; 30cm.
