Currently, various technological materials can be utilized to facilitate the teaching and
learning of English as a foreign language. However, the majority of teachers do not
incorporate these educational materials when they teach because of many reasons mainly the
lack of the various equipments. The principle aim behind this research is to shed light on the
importance of incorporating educational technology, and its significant role in improving the
students‟ aural skills. Therefore, we hypothesized that if teachers incorporate educational
technology in EFL classrooms, students would develop their aural skills. To perform this
research, fourteen teachers of Oral Expression and forty students of second year LMD at the
English department at Constantine University were selected as samples. Two questionnaires
as instruments to collect data and therefore to check our hypothesis were addressed for both
teachers and students. The results of the questionnaires revealed that the use of educational
technology is very helpful for developing the students' aural skills. That is, both of the
teachers and students recognized the importance of utilizing technological materials. |
