Washington as a gradual process to solve the problems of race relations in the USA and uplift African Americans. This study is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter accounts briefly for the key factors that shaped and molded Washington’s economic beliefs. The second chapter examines the manner by which Washington implemented his economic ideas laying a particular emphasis on the role of Tuskegee Institute in achieving such end.
