Résumé : |
The present study aims at investigating the attitudes of English university teachers about blended learning (BL henceforth) as a new approach in EFL teaching/learning classes and its influence on teaching content subjects of English. The underlying hypothesis is that if English teachers apply BL approach in their EFL classes, this will facilitate the process of teaching content subjects. The educational setting in which this study takes place is the Department of Letters and English language, Faculty of Letters and Languages , University des frères Mentouri Constantine. A group of 14 teachers of content subjects were taken randomly from a total population of 65 teachers and have been used as a sample in the present study. To achieve the aim of the undertaken research, answer the research questions, and attempt to confirm the validity of our hypothesis, we relied on a questionnaire as a means of research. The teachers‟ questionnaire aims to collect data about the teachers‟ degree of awareness about BL and figure out their opinions about teaching content subjects through this approach. The results of this investigation confirmed the hypothesis and proved that BL is an effective approach to facilitate the process of teaching content subjects of English. Consequently, we urge committees in charge at the Department of Letters and English Language, University des Frères Mentouri Constantine, to implement the BL approach in the English language curriculum to ensure a better teaching and learning experience. |
